Exercise Class
This is a carefully designed group of
exercises to improve circulation, enhance toning of
muscles and to initiate deep breathing. Everyone is
encouraged to attend. Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays
in the lower level Activity Room
Excursions
A variety of trips are scheduled through
the month. Some of the excursions include scenic drives,
picnics to local parks and beaches, special community
events and much more. Suggestions for other interesting
trips are always welcome!
Shopping Trips/Van Service
Need some toothpaste, a little fresh fruit
or some snacks? We offer weekly trips to a nearby supermarket
so you can pick up small items that you need. We shop
at Safeway every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. For those
who request the service, our van driver will gladly
shop for you. We also provide van service for our residents
who need to pay a visit to a health care professional.
Bingo & Pokeno
These most popular and favorite games
are placed twice weekly. Candy bars and fresh fruit
are awarded as prizes for Pokeno. Bingo is played on
Tuesday and Saturday.
Entertainment
Live entertainment is a very important
part of our activity program. We are fortunate to have
many musical groups that visit us on a regular basis.
Special performances are also schedule with school choirs,
the Navy Bank, Eagles Bank, local dance studios and
much more! We welcome your family and friends to join
us for these occasions.
Wellness Clinic
Our wellness program includes a full-time
Registered Nurse, who directs resident services, 7-day
a week Licensed Practical Nurse staffing, blood pressure
and weight checks and ongoing observations. Visiting
services include massage therapy, podiatry and hearing
services.
Volunteers
Volunteers are a very valuable part of
our activity program. If you or a family member would
like to volunteer at Sunrise View, please contact the
Activity Department to explore the many possibilities.
